Question by Greg Orly: QUICK! A quick tomato sauce?
I am wanting to make a tomato sauce, and I have the following ingredients:

3-ish cans of tomato paste
Few cans of diced tomatoes
Garlic

Any good recipes involving only those? (I do also have TONS of different spices, but sadly no onion :( )
Edit: I have onion powder/salt, just not actual onion

Answer by Pugzley Addams
boil all that together, throw in some Dill, paprika, Onion powder, a dash of cinnamon, salt, a bit of olive oil *EVO*. then if you want, maybe some shredded cheese, not much, boil it out with the cheese so it thickens then put it on whatever you want…

  9. Glad you like the video. Onion is second to tomato in world production. It
is a very important ingredient used in cooking. Onion is also very healthy
to eat it raw. As sweet onions are quiet expensive, I will give you a
helpful tip on how to get sweet onion for a fraction of the price. Just
store the regular brown or white onions in the fridge and in few days
you’ll have sweet onions. Enjoy! Mariette

  24. U used a lot of onion, I can tell you like it a lot. It looks so good!:-)

  25. Puree one can of the diced tomatoes in a blender or food processor
Add to it one can of diced tomatoes and put it all in a pot and heat
Chop the garlic and in it goes [the more the better].
In a small frying pan add 2-3 tablespoons of olive oil and fry [yes fry] 1 can of tomato paste until the bottom begins to turn a bit darker. Flip it over and fry the other side then into the sauce it all goes.
Now add 1-2 tablespoon of basil and 1 tablespoon of oregano.
Salt [you can use the onion salt] & pepper to taste and if you have it a splash [no more than 1 oz] dry red wine. Chianti or Shiraz work well.
cooked ground beef, sausage or other meat is a nice addition.
frying the tomato paste until slightly carmelized brings out the sugars in the paste creating a rich tasting sauce.
