Question by Mark: How often do you prepare salads at home?
Ever since I bought a salad chopper from QVC, I make salads 2x a week now for dinner! :)
Sheloves: Mind your own business! I paid for it! It’s my money not yours b***!!! :)

Probably 3-4 times we’ll have a very simple salad (like opening a bag of lettuce and cutting up a tomato or cucumber). But, it’s not a dinner salad. We’ll have a salad along with something else. Maybe steak, pizza, pasta…..etc

  8. Thank you for this dressing. My plants are doing so well this year I’m
always on the lookout for new recipes for zucchini. I had all the
ingredients except the tomatoes I had were in oil with italian seasonings
so it isn’t as low fat as yours. It tastes amazing. I think it would make a
great sauce for zucchini pasta. It made so much I can try it all different
    ways. Thank you again.

  28. 3-4 times a week.

Salad chopper???? You PAID for that?

  29. I eat salads at least 5 times a week all year round.

During the cooler months it’s usually a small salad made with fresh salad greens, tomatoes, cucumbers, black olives with 2 Tb. of homemade salad dressing.

During the warmer months I make larger salads and eat them as my meal. They usually consist of proteins (chicken, turkey, roast beef, eggs, cottage cheese), kidney beans, fresh corn, sweet peas, black olives, artichoke hearts, avocado, cucumber, zucchini, carrots, etc.

I use my food processor to cup up many of the fresh veggies, but took a look at the salad chopper online and think I may purchase one – does look a lot faster & easier to clean up. Thanks for the tip!

  30. Once or twice per day. My husband has a problem with obesity. He has lost 125 lbs and has another 25 lbs to lose. I make omelets for breakfast with fresh spinach in them. For lunch we have a large mixed vegetable salad with 2 cups of steamed vegetables. He has a cup of special protein soup and I have a sandwich. For dinner we have lean protein – steak, pork, chicken, fish or other seafood, a large mixed vegetable salad and 2 cups of steamed vegetables. Since I don’t need to lose weight I add cheese and butter to my veggies.

He has a protein bar a couple of hours after dinner and I have cookies and milk or ice cream. I don’t eat it in the same room that he is in..

We eat so much salad that I have a garden full of veggies year round.

When George reaches his goal he will be able to add a little more fat and a limited amount of carbs to his diet but salads will still be a big part of our daily meal plan.

    Love my fresh veggies.

  31. I would like to have a salad every night, but only make them one or two times per week.

I like the salad chopper from QC.

We also like sliced tomatoes on a lettuce leaf.
