Question by Lily D: How do you make Pasta Sauce?
or any good pasta sauce using these ingredients (plus or minus a few)

1 can diced tomatos 14.5 oz
1 can tomato paste 6 oz
onions
celery
1 jar vodka sauce
lots of types of seasoning (Basil, oregano, red pepper, black pepper, etc.)
vodka sauce is not a drink =P its a tomato sauce that has vodka in it but, its not alcoholic the alcohol like dies when its cooked

I don’t know about the vodka(are you talking about the drink?) or the celery but you can make some using those ingredients if you add two cups of tomato sauce and a half cup water

  10. no no no go to the store and bye a jar maby 2 of prego (it dependes on how much pasta ur makeing) brown 1 pound of meat in a skillet then add the sauce stir and your good to go. my best friends mom just dumps the jar in w/the pasta (after its been drained of corse) it is amazing you should try that 2

  11. aight. of those, id chop the onion (one is prob more than enough- if you have garlic, i’d throw in a clove or two, also, but its up to your taste), brown in some olive oil.
    add the diced tomatoes and tomato paste and one can of water, let simmer for about 15 min, stirring frequently, so it all can meld.
    then season to taste!

  13. This is my favorite Pasta Sauce that I make.

    ~Pasta Sauce~
    Ingredients:
    3 lg. onions, chopped
    2 green peppers, chopped
    1 1/2 c. celery, chopped
    4 cloves garlic, pressed
    1/2 c. olive oil
    2 lbs. ground chuck
    1 6-oz. jar sliced mushrooms
    3 6-oz. cans tomato paste
    3 8-oz. cans tomato sauce
    1 jar Vodka sauce
    2 14&1/2-oz. cans DelMonte stewed tomatoes
    2 T. Worcestershire sauce
    3 t. chili powder
    1 T. honey
    1&1/2 t. honey mustard
    1 t. basil
    2 t. oregano
    1 t. Italian seasoning
    1/2 t. red pepper
    1/2 t. black pepper
    2 t. salt
    1/2 c. chopped parsley
    2 t. vinegar
    1 t. Tabasco Jalapeno sauce
    2 bay leaves
    1 c. water
    1/2 c. Burgundy wine
    1 c. grated sharp cheese

    Directions:
    1. Saute onion, green pepper, celery and garlic in hot oil, until onion is transparent. Remove form pan and set aside.

    2. Brown meat well, drain of any excess grease.

    3. Combine onion mixture and meat.

    4. To above mixture, add the next 21 ingredients.

    5. Cover, reduce heat and simmer at least 1 hour. Stir often.

    6. Season in refrigerator 24 hours before serving.

    7. Remove bay leaves, stir in cheese and Burgundy just before serving.

    Serves 10.
