They sell some grooming products at pet stores that will take care of the smell.

  1. Maybe vinegar and water, then while hes still wet take a fabric softener sheet and rub it all over his fur.I dont know thats just a guess.Im suprised the tomato juice didnt work it usually does?

  2. Put him out of his misery, drown him.

  3. wash your dog in dawn dish soap, it worked on my dog.

  4. Hydrogen Peroxide (2 cups)
    2 cups of White Vinegar
    2 Tablespoons of Baking Soda
    Pet Shampoo (for later)
    1 Gallon of warm water
Mix it all, dunk a sponge in it and bathe the dog.
Afterward, rinse off the dog, then bathe the dog with pet shampoo. Rinse the dog again; it should be much, much better. Repeat if necessary, but not immediately.

Use this formula on areas that got sprayed, do not shampoo all over the animal. Skunk spray is an oil and will spread to the other parts of the body by scrubbing it into other areas.

    avoid getting near the eyes.

I got this off the internet a while ago, and it works better than over the counter remedies sold in pet stores. at least in my opinion

tomato juice also works, though I found the above to work better.

if you notice his/her eyes are red, being irratated by the smell… you may want to call your vet and ask him/her about an irratant relieving eye drop.

  5. poof fella, (both of ya’ll). GL with it! all i can offer is moral support as i have no clue.

  6. Go to your local pet store and buy some skunk odor remover. The vet may also sell something, but you don’t want to wait until Monday, when they are open.

  7. Bathe him in tomato juice, it might sound funny but it really does work. My mom’s Dachshund got sprayed and we bathed her in tomato juice and it took the smell right away.

  8. My dog got skunked twice in two weeks, ok. This is hands down the BEST method of getting out the smell. Try this before anything else.

    ODOR-MUTE.

It’s a smell-neutraliser type product you can get at pet stores. It works on natural-source smells, and it works wonders on skunk.

After spraying my dog with this (ok, dousing her in it), she was able to sleep the night inside the house without any of us choking from the smell.

This stuff really is quite extraordinary.

  9. A LOT of Summer’s Eve Vinegar & water douche. Look in the feminine hygiene area of the store…..

Another product that works wonders is X-O Odor Neutralizer, but the only place I have been able to find it is qvc.com

  10. Try this…seems to be the general concensus! Good luck!

  11. baking soda
    vinagar
    washing up soap

  12. My dogs stay in at night but seem to find lots of skunks during the day…. I have found that if you poor hydrogen Peroxide on the dog until they are soaked then sprinkle baking soda on them and scrub… After that give them a bath with the regular shampoo just to have the clean dog smell instead of peroxide and baking soda

  13. Keep your pet outdoors until you get rid of the obnoxious skunk odor with the following solution.
    Instructions
    Difficulty: Moderately Easy
    Steps
1Step OneMix 4 c. hydrogen peroxide with 4 tbsp. baking soda and 1 tsp. dish-washing soap.
2Step TwoPut cotton balls in your pet’s ears to protect the inner-ear tissue from the cleaning mixture, which could easily drip in.
3Step ThreeDon rubber gloves to protect your hands during this process.
4Step FourStart with your pet’s head, taking care not to get the solution into his eyes, ears or mouth. Apply a drop of olive or baby oil to his eyes to prevent irritation.
5Step FiveRub the mixture evenly into your pet’s coat. It will probably be more pleasant to do this outdoors.
6Step SixRinse the coat with clean water.
7Step SevenRepeat if the smell persists.
    Tips & Warnings
Tomato juice also neutralizes the effects of skunk odor. Rub it into your pet’s fur, let it soak for approximately 15 minutes, then wash it off with water.
Commercially prepared skunk odor remover or douches that remove skunk scents from fur are also available. Ask your veterinarian for advice on which product works best.
To help prevent your pet from being sprayed, use a leash when in the woods or country.

    hope it helps
