Question by kiki: What can I cook with only half a pound of hamburger?
Alright, so, here’s the issue;
We don’t get paid till the 3rd. We have no money for any other food and we need dinner tonight. So what we have to cook with is:
Butter, cheese, noodles, rice, all sorts of flavouring, HALF A POUND OF HAMBURGER, cans of tomato soup, lots of veggies but no lettuce, bananas etc but we do not have any milk, which I know is practically a staple for cooking.

Recipes please? 😀
Oh, and we have bread.
Yay bread.

  1. Meatballs for spaghetti and meatballs.

you can mix w/ chopped onion, garlic powder, salt and pepper and pan fry until ready.

  2. cook some noodles, and the 1/2 pound of burger, then mix it put better on it and call it hamburger helper xD

    then fill up on bread

  3. Cook the burger, cook the rice, add your favorite seasonings and make a dirty rice mix. Use more rice to stretch the meat. Eat some veggies on the side or mix it in.

You could have a grilled cheese and tomato soup.

  4. Three days to payday has a familiar ring. All depends on the veggies which can be seasoned in many ways. Brown the hamburger crumble it and go from there. Different veggies work with different seasonings.
For instance, take a can of tomato soup, add vegetables (mixed, single flavor or combination of left overs) add some onion and soy sauce and serve over rice. Add enough vegetables and you can serve about three kids and two adults. Add more vegetables if you have more children, it’s good for them

  5. You can make anything with a half pound of burger that you would with a pound of it. I have cut way down on my meat. I use to use a pound for my chili but now use a half Pound and the same with my pasta dish. Works out just fine.

For what you have I would make meatball that have rice in them and topped with tomato soup. I would had spices to the meat and some onions if I have them. Think these are called porcupine meatballs.

  6. noodles and that Hamburger mixed together with a little butter (its like home-made hamburger helper) and veggees. If need of additional food make soup.

  7. You can have patty melts (Cook the meat and put it in a cheese sandwhich and grill it with butter) and some tomato soup.

  8. It’s okay if ground beef takes a smaller starring role in the meal.

Got one of those brown gravy mixes? How about burgers served over egg noodles and covered in brown gravy? Use this recipe as a general guideline, change the servings to 2 and use the entire packet of brown gravy mix.

  9. Brown up your ground beef, add a can of mushroom soup to it, and serve it over toast. Heat up some veggies to go on the side.
