a jar opener I have used was made from a square scrap wood about 5/8th
thick with a set of old jig saw blades the really deep toothy kind all set
up like a wide 45 degree angle but not snug against the flat square board
scrap ..screwed loosely through end tips of saw blades where it drifts as
the blades adjusts to the jar lid size ..all this was attached upside down
under my cabinet by screws in main wood block ..just hold a jar in the V
teeth and twist ..it will bur the lid sometimes though..
