Question by Natalie: Are there any recipes I can cook with the tomato guts?
Last night I made tomato soup and was left with a bowl full of juicy and flavorful tomato guts. Aside from the obvious tomato juice, is there anything I can cook with the tomato scraps?

You could put them in with a Bolognese, Chilli or Stew – wouldn’t do you any harm

  26. Yes, lots of uses. Whether you make soup from scratch or homemade, throw it into soups. Add it to the next batch of tomato sauce you make. Use it in the liquid for pot roast. Throw it in chili, add it to your favorite salad dressing for some interest. I save stuff like this (along with carrot, onion and celery scraps) in the freezer and use it to make stocks.

It will freeze very well, if you don’t want to use it right away.
