Question by KandCsMommie: cold dip that goes well with both pita chips and veggies?
I want an easy to make homemade dip that I can serve with both pita chips and cucumbers and baby carrots. I dont want just a plain ranch or onion dip but I would like a sour cream type base. I am also having a corn, tomato, mozz salad with lime cilantro dressing. And hoagie bites. So something that can work well with these dishes also.

  17. Mix equal amounts of sour cream and mayonnaise. Then add any spice that you are hungry for. One of our favorites is garlic powder, but it does result in “garlic breath”, so save that for just you and one friend.

Another favorite, is to add 4 ounces of crumbled bleu cheese. Dried rosemary is also very good. Also, dried thyme. Cumin and chili powder are also good.

Whatever you decide on, you need to make this and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving it — it will taste just like mayonnaise until things get a chance to meld together. Then, it is a delicious dip.
