Question by annie: What is the difference between canned tomatoes and canned puree tomatoes. Does puree tomatoes add tomato paste
I want to know if all puree tomatoes have tomato pasta in it, as the can that I have does. My sister says that puree tomatoes are the same as canned tomatoes except that the seeds and skin have been removed. I think that puree tomatoes have a much stronger taste and therefore must have something added

pureed tomatoes have been put through a food processor or something like it; they have a stronger taste because some of the water is removed
canned tomatoes are just tomato pieces that have been canned; no water is removed
