Question by sweetlovespell: I would love to know about different kinds of healthy breads and rice?
Recently, I have been looking into buying or making my own bread and rice and wondering if you have any neat recipes or brands or kinds you recommend. I found out there’s a type of red bread with tomato blended in the flour. What is the name of that and is that healthy for you? I’m looking for healthy and delicious. Thank you in advance!

HI there,
1. Brown rice is more nutritional than white rice. Think of white rice as stripped-down brown rice.
2. Making bread is fun! For healthy bread look for recipes that use wheat flour. Stay away as much as possible from white flour which is stripped-down wheat flour. There are many other things you can add to make the bread more nutritional such as: millet, flax, oat meal, oat flour, bran, wheat germ, barley, nuts, herbs, and more. There are hundreds of bread recipes and once you get used to making bread you’ll find easy ways to make them more nutritional.
3. You mentioned a red bread: I have never seen a type of flour you can buy that has dried tomato in it. I’m pretty sure the tomato is ingredient in the batter and not part of the flour.
