how to grow tomatoes and some little facts on them.

Question by dream crusher: Is it possible to grow banana peppers upside down, like tomatoes?
I have limited containers and no yard space for growing. My husband and I were planing on growing tomatoes in upside down containers (recycled milk jugs), but he got beefsteaks, which are way to heavy. We are also growing habenero peppers and banana peppers, but don’t have enough pots for all three.
So…I was thinking maybe I can grow the banana peppers in upside down milk jugs instead? Would this work?

It’s not advisable. Milk jugs are tiny and translucent, so the root space would be minimal (and same w/the yield).

Very good info. Thanx.
Thanks for posting, good video. But couldn’t quite get some of the terminology you mentioned especially those pointing to locations on tomato plant. Thanks.
Great video. Lots of usable info. What was the music? I thought I heard a saw being played.

The pots need to be opaque to prevent algae growth in the soil. Five gallon buckets would work much better. I have seen tomatoes and peppers grown in those “Topsy Turvy” pots and they never seem to do well.
