Sure, it can be done. If it’s condensed tomato soup- you’ll want to add 3/4 of a can of water- add 1/4 teaspoon of italian seasoning or about an 1/8 teaspoon each of basil, oregano, garlic powder. You might add about a 1/2 teaspoon of sugar. Now, if you had some diced/crushed/stewed tomatoes- that would really add to the sauce. Tomato paste would help too. Of course- ground beef, sausage, chicken if you have it. Now, the important question- do you have parmesan cheese? Sprinkle that on before serving and it’ll make a huge difference. And, some crushed red pepper if you like it spicy.

  1. It could work. The tomato soup probably contain high fructose corn syrup and will be very sweet. Carmelize some onion and garlic before adding the tomato sauce & soup to the pot. Add seasonings that you like. I usually use basil, oregano, pepper, cayenne, etc.

  2. It will have a sweeter taste with the soup. It will work. However if you have any ketchup you could use that instead.

  3. No you can use both. Then just add your Italian seasonings (oregano & basil) and minced garlic or minced onion, mushrooms or whatever you like. Let it simmer on low for awhile and presto.

  4. Yes you can
