    Disgusting.

  7. Hmmmm!!!

  8. Any box of whole wheat or whole grain pasta should be vegan. The disclaimer, “Made in a facility that also produces eggs and milk” or something to that effect might be on it, though. That’s to cover the legal butts and I don’t think much of it.

Also, most vegetable tomato sauces (in the jars) are vegan as well. Obviously, if “meat” is on the front label, or “cheese” then it’s not vegan.

I can go to WalMart and get a box of pasta, a jar of sauce and a can of tomatoes for less than $ 3.50.

  9. All your dry pastas are going to be vegan. I like the whole wheat ones best. Some brands have started adding chia seeds and quinoa grains to their pastas but I think thats mostly a gimmick and not any more nutritional.

They do make vegetarian meatballs (check the vegetarian section). I don’t think i have ever tried them. You’ll have to check the ingredients for eggs and dairy.

I make my own sauce. its cheaper, healthier and low in sodium.
    Here is my recipe.

fry 8oz of tofu in 2 tbsp. olive oil (10 minutes)
add 2 cloves of crushed garlic
add 10 sliced mushrooms, and/or chopped red and/or green peppers, and/or sliced zucchini, and/or chopped onions. (10 more minutes)
Add 1 can of chopped tomatoes, and 1 can of spaghetti sauce
    simmer (10 more minutes)
use for topping on whole grain pasta.
serve with a salad and or bread.
