Local greenhouse grows theirs from seed. Far easier to seed directly into the cell packs. Larger plants take up too much room which is money in a greenhouse. Yes, you’d need a state or local retail license. You may even need that if you are a regular at a farmer’s market. The government always wants their money.

In a farmer’s market setting you’ll want larger plants as they appeal more to the customer and more tolerant of handling by you.

How about adding herbs to your offering for the farmer’s market?
