Fried green tomatoes are awesome. You can make jam a quick way by grinding the tomatoes seeds and all and heating them then add raspberry jello powder and you have cheater raspberry jam.
you can fry them in batter, make relish, but the easiest thing is to put them in a paper bag and let them ripen.
Fry them and serve them with remoulade dipping sauce!!
Fry them! Here’s a recipe:
INGREDIENTS
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
5 green tomatoes, sliced 1/2 inch thick
1 cup crushed saltine crackers
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup butter
DIRECTIONS
In a small bowl, stir together the flour, salt and pepper. Place the crushed saltine crackers in another bowl, and the beaten eggs in a third bowl.
Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Dip each tomato slice in the egg to coat, then in the flour mixture. Dip the floured tomato slice back into the egg, and then into the cracker crumbs. Place the coated tomato slices in the hot skillet, and fry until golden brown on each side, about 3 to 5 minutes per side. Add more butter to the pan, if necessary. Serve hot!

We have a pretty big garden and at the end of the summer, what ever is left over becomes a salad for winter. Since were Polish, its a tradition in my family to make preserves and stuff like that lol. My mother cans green tomato and onion ‘salads’ in jars for winter. They are yummmmmmmmmy. She also makes the best dill pickles which is like heaven in my mouth. I can get you the recipe if you’d like it.
We not only fried them (like the recipes already posted) but we pickled them. Wash the tomatoes. Fill 1/3 portion of vinegar in a glass jar (measurement to the size of the jar), add sliced onions and green tomatoes (as many as you want), a little salt. Put the lid on the jar and refrigerate. The next day you’ll have a tart side dish. We also added cut cucumbers and okra to the jar. You can add other veggies to your liking and experiment.
Good Luck!
Put them on the window sill in the sun and let them ripen.
