Question by spring jasmine: Creamy tomato salmon pasta recipe?
I love pasta with salmon in creamy tomato sauce. Anyone has the recipe?
Note: ‘CREAMY tomato sauce’
I’m assuming that cream is involved?

4 large tomatoes, peeled and seeded*
4 (4-6-ounce) salmon fillets
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
3 tablespoons butter
1/4 cup dry white wine
1/4 cup chopped fresh basil

Place peeled and seeded* tomatoes in a blender or food processor. Process until a chunky purée is formed; set aside.
Season salmon with salt and pepper.
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Melt butter and when foam subsides, place salmon, skin-side up in pan. Brown on both sides, until fish is just cooked through, about 6 minutes, depending on thickness of fillets. Transfer to plate and hold warm.
In same skillet, combine puréed tomatoes and wine and bring to a boil, scraping any browned bits off the bottom. Simmer until slightly reduced, and sauce is desired consistency. Stir in basil. Adjust seasoning if necessary.
Place salmon on individual serving plates and pour sauce over the top. Serve immediately.

  7. Hi Dan, Thanks for being part of my life. Please suggest some titles of
spiritual videos. Also, what kind of comedies do you and LLK (the Lovely
Lady Krista) watch? I really liked the chat video. The recipes are awesome,
but everybody has recipes. You give encouragement and wisdom. Peace.

  11. Thanks for this recipe Dan. I know what I am having for supper tonight! I
love salads but sometimes need a bit of inspiration and new ideas. Also I
wanted to say congratulations to having one of your videos featured on the
VegFamily newsletter. Just got it this morning. Its awesome to see you
getting even more exposure to people. Could you sometime have a talk about
salt? I noticed you seem to not use any or little. Its the hardest thing
for me to give up even though I know I should . Thanks!

  13. Hi Dave, I have a question or observation that I hope you and your viewers
don’t take as negative. How does a primary care giver, with 3 kids and 8
bags of groceries, live the free lifestyle you speak of? When my kids were
little it was all about them and my husband. How could I take them on a 10
mi bike ride and skinny dipping in the stream? I never see “free spirits”
    caring for children. Peace

  14. umm why u shirtless…..not saying i dont like it lmfao=D

  15. Isn’t raw cabbage a cruciferous vegetable? I tried eating raw broccoli once
and it really did a number on my digestive system. I later learned that
people with a weak (or even normal for that matter) will have a really hard
time digesting that. My understanding is that anything in the cruciferous
family (broccoli, cabbage, etc) shouldn’t be eaten raw. Just a warning to
those eating the raw cabbage. If they have problems with digestion
afterward it’ll be because of the cabbage.

  26. Don’t know exactly what recipe your after however I have a lovely recipe for a smoked salmon pasta recipe, you could substitute fresh salmon for the smoked salmon and add it earlier in the cooking process.

    Ingredients:

    Diced Onion
    Chopped Garlic
    Sundried Tomatoes
    Peas (frozen are fine)
    White Wine
    Single Cream
    Salt and Pepper
    Parmesan Cheese
    Smoked Salmon

    Method:
1: Saute onion and garlic till opaque
    2: Add chopped sun-dried tomatoes
3: De-glaze pan with splash of wine
4: Add cream and simmer until thick
5:Season well with salt and pepper to taste
6: Finish with Parmesan cheese to taste
7: Pour over pasta of your choice ( I like to use bow ties for this particular recipe but penne would be equally as good)
8: Top with three to four slices of smoked salmon.

    Eat and enjoy.
    Bon a Petite
