Question by Rhythmic: Why does this happen when I mix tomato sauce with?
When I eat spaghetti for example and then proceed to drink something fruit flavored (take Gatorade for example), theres this reaction between the sauce and the drink that leaves this acrid or acid aftertaste, quite unpleasant, but I am wondering what exactly makes this certain mix to cause this? sorry if the question is pretty stupid, I just for some reason keep doing this mix.

It might be the clash of something acidic with something sweet. Tomato sauce has citric acid in it. I get the same unpleasant feeling when I eat cookies or cake with lemonade.
