  1. Tomato picking is very hard i wish we had these machines

  2. Thank you for the Video

  3. Commercial growers use mostly determinate varieties that ripen pretty much at the same time, like Whitehead mentioned.

  4. It may depend on the variety.

  5. Tomato plant will give tomato for every day, atleast for 20 to 30 days in its lifetime, but this machine just destroys the whole plant all at once??? I can’t match this?

  6. yep we as humans are getting lazier by the year

  7. yes but machine harvested tomatoes are used for canning, paste, sauce and so on there not sent to the supermarket as fresh tomatoes.

  8. dont they bruise?

  9. In CA they go straight into truck trailer pulled by farm tractor.

  10. nice video, I grow tomatoes too

  11. Anyone who has been out in a tomato field will know that tomatos can be grown and produce 70-80% rip at the same time. Technology and seed choice along with modern farming practices.

  12. Corporate Mentality!

Anyone that has ever grown a tomato plant knows that each plant only has one ripe tomato per day, and not every day.

Tomatoes that are picked too green will never ripen up, they can turn color and look ripe, but they will never be ripe.

  13. Looks like you’re dropping a few.

  14. Great machine!
