Question by Sarah: Is there something similar to taco salad, but not quite taco salad?
I’ve got all the ‘fixings’ for taco salad, but we’ve already had it. Is there something I can do with all the leftover ingredients that’s a little different?

I love salads like these but somehow it`s hard to eat what comes out of a sour milk container that one was going to throw away ,plus leave it sit for a week LOL funny I like cottage cheese .yummy looking salad though .
make a casserole!!
TACO SALAD CASSEROLE
1 lb. ground beef
1 can (8 oz.) tomato sauce
1 can (#1) chili beans in zesty sauce (do not drain)
1 1/2 tsp. chili powder
Dash Tabasco
5 c. tortilla chips (16 oz. bag) crushed
1 1/2-2 c. sour cream
1 c. chopped tomatoes
1/2 c. chopped green onions (about 4 onions)
2 c. grated cheese
Shredded lettuce
Brown beef, drain fat and stir in tomato sauce, chili beans, chili powder and Tabasco. Cook over medium heat until hot and bubbly. Break chips into lightly greased 9 x 13 inch baking dish. Cover with hot bean mixture.
Spread sour cream over meat. Sprinkle with tomatoes and onions; top with cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes. Serve over shredded lettuce. It is okay to reheat this dish.
Mix the seasoned ground beef with diced tomatoes, some black olives, a small diced red onion, and a small bottle of Catalina or French salad dressing.
Serve over crushed Fritos or tortilla chips, and sprinkle lightly with shredded cheese.
Yes, I have a recipe for Taco Soup: 1lb. Hamburger (I use turkey),1ch. onion; appox.1-1-1/2 tsp. garlic, Fry together& add 1pkg. of taco seasoing ;mild put ( I use Mc Cormick); put in a pot ,add; 1can Light red kindey beans (drained), (I use Cambles soup for southwestern cooking (undiluted) ;it has beans)instead of kindey beans; 1lg. can of corn undrained); 1lg. can rotell tomatoes (undrained) or you can use the ones with green chiles (depening on how spicy you like you’re food) & 2 smalls cans tomato sauce & 1can water. Simmer untill hot through.
