  2. 1 1/2 qts cauliflower flowerettes
    1 qt. small white pickling onions
    1 qt. small cucumbers or gerkins scrubbed
    1 qt. green tomatoes
    2 large green peppers
    2 large red peppers
    1/2 cup salt
    3 qt. cold water
    2 qt. cider vinegar
    6 Tbsp. prepared mustard
    1 1/2 cups packed light brown sugar
    2/3 cup all purpose flour
    2 Tbsp. growund turmeric

    Combine prepared vegies in a large bowl and cover with salt solution. Cover and set aside for 24 hours.
    Drain the salt solution through a colander and bring it to a boil and immediately pour over vegetables in the colander and set aside to drain.
    In a large heavy saucepan combine the rest of the ingredients. Cook and stir with a wooden spoon over medium heat til thickened and smooth.
    Add the drained vegies and ook until they are tender not soft. Stir frequetly to prevent scorching.
    Pack in clean steralized hot jars and remove all the air bubbles. seal and process in boiling water bath for 10 minutes.
    makes 11 pints.
