Question by globalwafarer: What’s the best way to ripen partially red tomatoes?
It seems rain may be coming before my tomatoes have a chance to fully vine-ripen. Last year my tomatoes split quite a bit after the first rain. I know of the brown bag (with apple n it) technique, but that does not seem to fully do the trick. Any good ideas?

Set them in an east facing window. The sunlight is what causes them to turn red. That’s what my grandparents and parents always do and it seems to work!

The tomatoes in my garden always fall off the vine when they aren’t fully ripend too.. I just sit the on the window seal and let them soak up the sun. It always works for me.
set them in the window seal, they’ll ripen
i have had good results with wrapping them in plain news paper and puting them in a dark place for a few days.
the fastest way to ripen tomatoes is to put them into a paper bag overnight.
if you leave them on the windowsill then they will take forever.
