Question by MissPiggy xo: How to make a homemade pasta sauce?
I have all the ingredients I need and how to make it, I just need to know how to make the sauce without the tomatoes. I was wondering if I can buy a jar of tomato sauce and then add the ingredients cause that would be a lot easier. Thanks!

Chop garlic and onion. Gently fry, ideally in olive oil.
Add chopped tomatoes from a tin. Gently cook for 15+ minutes (the longer the better).
What could be easier?
If you want to pep it up a bit, add some chopped herbs if possible (e.g. basil, oregano: dried from a packet is fine). And sliced mushrooms for the last 10 minutes or so.

Yes you can. Just saute finely diced onion and garlic, add your tomato sauce and seasoning, usually dried oregano and basil and freshly ground pepper. Simmer the sauce for at least an hour, then add some finely chopped parsley.
Miss Piggy, if when you say the tomato sauce you mean the passata, or the strained tomato, the method is the same. Come back to me if you need further details.
