Question by mmramen6: Ideas for planning my sweet 16 toga party?
So I’m planning my sweet 16 and I’m going for the theme of a Greek toga party.

Things to help me think about:
-My birthday’s in July (it’d be summer) and I also have a pool.
-This would be a non-alcoholic party!
-I’d probably have a barbecue, so what are some foods I could incorporate?
-What are some other things I could do to make it seem more Greek-y, like foods/decorations/etc?

Play water polo. Make fancy drinks in punch bowls. Set up some of the Minute to Win It games – you can get them at the website.

  1. A toga party sounds really fun, especially in the summer. For food, you could serve:

    * Greek snack platter with cheese, bread, grapes, figs, and nuts

    * Greek Salad — lettuce, tomato, feta cheese, and olives with a vinaigrette dressing

    * Ambrosia — food of the gods– in this case more of a marshmallow, jell-o salad

    * Pig on a Spit — If you’re going all out, roast a pig with an apple in its mouth

For activities, you might host some “Greek Games.” Play volleyball, horseshoes, or bocce.

    Have fun!
