This does not happen to me, BUT if anything is causing heartburn, its most likely the Orange Juice. If it continues, all I can say is check with your doctor that it might not be something wrong in your body.
What do you think? Answer below!
More likely that the orange juice is causing heartburn ‘cos it is a citrus fruit which is causing acidity and heartburn. Consult ur doctor.
I have gotten huge heartburn and stomach cramps from apple juice when I drink it on an empty stomach – the clear kind, not the fresh pressed apple cider. I have gotten it from fresh apples on an empty stomach a few times as well.
For me, it’s the empty stomach that triggers it. There is nothing wrong with your system, it is just a normal reaction to acidic foods. Try eating something first and then have your juice. You may have better luck, I do. Since that one time the juice got me good on an empty stomach, I always eat first if I know I will be having apple juice. Orange isn’t so bad, but again, the more I have in my stomach when I drink these juices, the better off I am. Tomato juice can have a similar effect.
Interesting, I remember drinking straight grapefruit juice when I was pregnant to get rid of nausea on an empty stomach.
