Question by Ladybug II: How do you create seedless fruit and why are some fruits never seedless?
I’ve eatten seedless oranges, grapes, and watermellon. But I’ve never seen a seedless apple, cantalope, peach, apricot, plum, or any fruit that has one large pit. Why not a seedless tomato or cucumber? Can anyone answer these for me? Thank you in advance.
Can you buy seeds for seedless fruit? Or maybe seedlings or saplings?

seedless fruits are vegetables i think
What do you think? Answer below!
seedless fruits are created by altering the genetics and genes of plants.
i dont know why some fruits arent seedless though.
I’m not sure about how to create seedless fruit — but I did want to let you know that your question made me think of seedless watermelon—I love water melon —but it’s not really seedless — it just doesnt have ‘black’ seeds
good luck with growing seedless fruits
GM – genetic modification… Unnatural and unhealthy
Seedless watermelons are sterile hybrids that develop fruits, but no seeds. The seeds for growing them are produced by crossing a normal watermelon with one that has been changed genetically by doubling the chromosome number. The seeds from this cross produce plants that, when pollinated with pollen from normal plants, produce seedless melons. Actually they have seeds but they are sterile, so you see the tiny white shells of the seed. This is the same way seedless bananas and grapes are made, but they are then propagated vegetatively. As far as seedless apples, cantaloupe, or peaches the seeds are not in the flesh that you eat, so it would not be an advantage to them being seedless.
Some things are mostly seedless, like grapes, but will have seeds if it gets really hot where cooler seasons leave seeds small and few. Hormones like gibberellins help to keep big sweet fruits limited in seeds. Some things have seeds that are small and thin like cucumbers and easy to eat. Some seeds like corn you eat the seeds. Watermelons are funny. You take one plant that has 4 times the genetics and cross it with a plant that has two times the genetics to get a seed that makes a 3 times genetic sterile non seed producer. I guess that is quite a tricky thing and you have to know well what you are working with. For some of those 3X like tree fruits you need to grow them from cuttings as there are no seeds to plant. Other plants make seedless fruit from not having male pollination. I don’t know why one can not have a seedless peach except to say that none of the above methods have worked for it. Bet that someone is still trying as that could mean a lot of money.
Seedless fruits are created in two ways;
1. By Genetical modification
2. By growing the fruit in question from a cutting (A propagated part of the plant)
As for the seedless tomato or cucumber, some plants are harder to modify to be grown without seeds, but also some can’t be due to the seed makes up most of their structure.
