Question by lightning1389: Can a tomato plant and a strawberry plant cross pollinate?
I have a tomato plant and a strawberry plant in my yard next to each other. Today I picked a “fruit” off of the tomato plant that wasn’t quite tomato. It looked a lot like a strawberry mixed with a small amount of tomato. Did they cross pollinate?

Hmmm. Shouldn’t, then, we be able to strike cuttings from Cape Gooseberries in the same way? After all, they are just another member of the Solanaceae; and rather tomato-ish too, in a way. Might be fun to try! And quicker than waiting ages for seeds to grow and develop into new plants. 😉
thanks Huw for another great video to watch, will try this x
