Question by -signed my broken heart: Recipes for salads and dressings?
I would love to have some recipes for different salads and dressings! Salads are one of the main food I am able to eat and I run out of options for new things to try with it! If you have some that have meat with, chicken breast is the only meat I am able to eat. . . no bacon or beef. Thank you in advance!

Give your answer to this question below!
Here is the dressing I use:
Olive oil and black pepper. I sometimes add a little balsamic vinegar into it as well.
If you are looking for something a bit exotic, try experimenting with thai sweet chilli and lemongrass sauce.

My favorite salad is Ceasar salad. This recipe came from my great great great grandmother years ago. Thats why its so special.
First, you need,
Lettece
Cabbage
Tomatos
Chicken breasts
Chicken tenders
Chicken Strips
(put them in a bowl together, and mix it up)
DRESSING RECIPE
Half a cup of mayonese
3 teaspoons of sour cream
2 teaspoons of salt
2 teaspoons of viniger
(mix together, and then, place in refrigerator for 1 hour. Your salad dressing has to be cold). ENJOY!!!!!!!
Romaine lettuce, tomatoes, dried cranberries, celery, blue cheese, baked chicken, and a balsamic vinaigrette.
Make a variation of a cobb salad:
Put some romaine lettuce or iceburg lettuce on a big plate. Put each of these ingredients in a row on the lettuce:
Avacados
Tomatoes
Chicken
Onions (green onions, red onions – whatever you like)
Black beans
Shredded cheddar cheese
I would serve this with some ranch dressing with a tablespoon of salsa mixed in. A mexican cobb salad, if you will.
Baby field greens, strawberries, almonds, cucumbers, and tomatoes with blush wine vinaigrette.
I LOVE salads too.
You say that you cannot eat bacon or beef, but what about fish? I can give you three versions of the following, one with fish, one with chicken, and one meatless:
Necessary ingredients:
Your choice of mixed baby greens or romaine lettuce, chopped
Tomatoes!! freshly chopped, preferably vine ripened
Lemon
Olive oil
Herb: pick from dill or basil or Italian parsley (I prefer freshly chopped, but dried is fine too)
Optional ingredients:
Cucumbers, freshly sliced
Black olives, remove the pit
Pepperoncini
Red or yellow peppers if you like some sweetness, freshly chopped
Cheese: pick from feta or Armenian string cheese, can buy feta crumbled or chop either cheese yourself
Balsamic vinaigrette
Salt
Black pepper
Grilled garlic
Possible meats or lack thereof:
Chicken, grilled and cut
Fish: grilled and cut boneless salmon or chunk light tuna from can
No meat
Mediterranean Salad recipe template:
Combine tomatoes and lettuce, add your choice of herbs, cheese, optional ingredients, and choice of meat. Add lemon and olive oil. Toss.
My Simple Fish Salad:
All the necessary ingredients, with dill as my preference for herb (basil next choice if dill is unavailable), as well as feta cheese as my choice of cheese. I don’t care much for vinaigrette, just toss with lemon and olive oil. Mmmm.
My Simple Chicken Salad:
All the necessary ingredients. If you want a slightly sweet flavor: Armenian string cheese and dill goes well. Not sweet at all: Feta cheese and parsley. Different taste, somewhat strong/tangy: Basil and vinaigrette.
Meatless Salad:
Whatever is available and depending on my mood. Lots of room to experiment, but most combinations will taste gooood! And, totally healthy btw.
Now, the above is more a Mediterranean type salad, which I tend to prefer. But, I have also sometimes used fresh oranges with grilled chicken, and a bit of soy sauce — without tomatoes — to get a wonderful and simple Asian type salad. Sometimes, at restaurants, I like pear-and-feta salad or walnut-apple goat cheese salad too — both with chicken as preferred meat. I guess the thing to keep in mind with those fruity salads is mainly not to use tomatoes. Since I LOVE tomatoes, but I also like sweet stuff, I get those kinds of salads when I want something light and slightly sweet but don’t want to get both a meal and a dessert (but rather combine the two).
Lettuce Pea Layer Salad
1 head lettuce (washed, dried very well)
1 bag frozen peas (med. size bag-rinsed & patted dry really well)
1 can water chestnuts (drained well)
2 bunches green onions
2 cups cubed cheddar cheese or cheese crumbles
1 1/2-2 cups diced celery
2 cups hellman’s mayonnaise
Note: Don’t add salt as it will draw moisture and salad will have liquid in it by the serve time. Prepare this salad the day before you want to serve it. It just isn’t as good made the morning of.
After lettuce is thoroughly dried, tear into pieces in put in large bowl. I use a trifle dish.
On top of lettuce add the green onion, celery, water chestnuts, and uncooked frozen peas, in layers.
Do not mix. Over the top, spread mayo over the entire top of the salad. Cover tightly and place in fridge until the next day.
Just before serving, add the cheese to the salad and mix well.
