If you’re main goal is weight loss, then you should incorporate some protein into that salad. Lean protein is preferred (skinless chicken or turkey), but if no avail- you could add a bit of cheese (though usually low protein yield per volume, depending), nuts or edamame.
Otherwise it sounds good- use dressing sparingly.

To the above, add red peppers, carrots, a root vegetable such as kohlrabi, vegetable sprouts, radish, juice from 1 lemon and 1 T olive oil. Delicious, healthy and eases weight loss

In order to lose weight you should be eating a healthy balanced low carb diet. Salads are great for you as long as you do not drown them with fattening toppings and dressings. For diabetic people who have to count carbs up to three cups of salad is considered a ‘free’ food, which means it is very low carb and healthy. I usually eat a salad for my lunch. I add all the fresh veggies I want. Sometimes I will add fresh fruit as well (but I have to count the carbs for them), and proteins are also good for you. You can add canned tuna, baked chicken breast, or any other low fat meat and the salad will still be healthy. You only need to aviod high fat and calorie items such as Thousand Island dressing and lots of regular cheese. If you do add salad dressing, have it on the side, not on top or mixed in. You will eat less of the dressing this way. Good Luck to you.
PS. I am a recently diganosed diabetic and just by sticking to a diabetic diet I have lost 20 pounds in two months and this is without exercising either. I have 3 meals a day, that allow me 30 – 45g carbs per meal, and one afternoon snack of 15 – 30g of carbs. I just read labels on everything, and use portion control. This diet also has not left me feeling hungry at all.
You can also use these to sites to help you lose weight. They are both great.
