  1. How does the tomato plant keep reproducing if it has no seeds?

  2. @gardener3434 its a hybrid

  3. Thanks Annie. I have some of their tomatoes growing in my garden now. I see
    some blossoms too!

  4. ‘Sweet Seedless’ is what’s known as an F1 hybrid. This means the parents of
Sweet Seedless are fertile and are crossed to create seed. The seed progeny
(Sweet Seedless) is sterile so no seeds. If you save the seeds of a single
hybrid tomato plant, the progeny will be a mixture of traits of both
parents and possibly from tomatoes grown close by that could have
pollinated your hybrid. So the seeds you collect will not be genetically
    the same as the hybrid.

  5. Yes, I have about 450 sq. ft. of vegetables, fruits and herbs including tomatoes, strawberries, blueberries, onions, beets, peppers, dill, basil, thyme, radishes, kohlrabi, a huge fig tree and more. Go for it and remember, Compost is the first and best answer.

  6. Trying to get motivated to do it.

  7. I really tried but the weather was so weird in my area that absolutely nothing grew. I planted tomatoes, zucchini, green beans, radishes, beets and lettuce. Nothing worked.

  8. Yes, I do. I have a garden year-round since we can always grow something here in Florida. Right now I have collards, rutabagas, turnips, kale, kohlrabi, mustard, oriental cabbage, cabbage, radishes, lettuce, broccoli, parsnips and celery growing.
I also still have part of my spring/summer garden in production. My eggplants are still blooming and producing; I harvested 5 on Thursday. My Christmas pole Lima Beans have really picked up their production since we have had a little cooler weather. I’ve harvested and shelled out over 4 pounds in the last 2 weeks. I still have a few peas producing, although they have slowed down. I haven’t cut all the Silver Queen okra yet, but those pods remaining are for seeds. I also have not cut any of my sugar cane; that will happen just before Thanksgiving…unless we have frost before then.

    Good luck and enjoy!
