Hi, tomatoes grow the same season as corn. So, next spring you can plant them after the ground has warmed up or whenever your spring is back there (I’m in CA and answered your corn question).

Plant tomatoes in full sunlight. Find the sunniest spot in the yard. You have to wait until the last frost has gone. Buy some tomato seedlings at Home Depot or wherever they sell plants. You have to stake the tomatoes when they are young. Use a small stake and twine. Before they get too big, you have to buy a circular wire cage to support the plant, or use a really long stake, or build some kind of support system.

you can plant them in the ground or in a big pot. If there is a warning of a frost and you have already planted them cover them with an old sheet or newspaper. Plant them up to the first set of leaves. Water in very well. Water them if no rain has fallen in 3 days.
In a pot you plant the same way but, when the roots start to fill up the pot you might have to water every day. When you water, water slowly until the water starts to come out of the bottom of the pot.
They require full sun.
