Question by Heartofnoir13: Welts and Red Blotches around 18 month old’s lips after eating tomato?
Is this an allergy? And what can we do for her?
She was eating a big slice of tomato. She loves them! She developed under her lower lip about 4 little welts and red blotching.
Could it just be the tomato is too acidic for her skin or a skin sensitivity? Or do welts signify an allergy?

is not available in your local supermarket, ask them to stock it. We have
no intention of replacing Big Red Tomato Sauce with Ketchup – they’re both

Ask your pediatrician but it sounds like an allergy.
It seems obvious that your baby has an allergy to tomatoes so don’t feed them or anything with tomatoes in it to her, perhaps she will outgrow the allergy and she could go back to loving them again.
