It is. With the heirloom varieties you get a lot of shape and color variations. Some of the fruit is down right ugly but it taste great.
have you ever tried Surround WP to lower plant temp?It is an insect barrier that is made of finely ground clay.It wiil turn your plants white.Hold a piece of cardboard in front of blossoms to keep it off blossoms. You will become a great gardener. Keep learning. Heirlooms can be either determinate or indeterminate. If you look up their names on the internet you can find them in seed catalogs. The catalogs will tell you what type they are. Keep asking questions.
Are heirloom tomatoes determinate or indeterminate tomatoes? The Bible never suggests the fruit is an apple.

I’ll be able to let you know from experience after this season has passed. At the moment I’d say yes but I have yet to see if they will continue to do well in the future. I purposely grew some tomatoes in smaller-than-normal containers/spaces this year to see how they’d do. A typical year for me yields far more fruit than I can possibly eat/store myself. My brandywines/cherokee purples I have in containers are doing better than any other fruiting plant growing for me at the moment.

The Tomato, for me, is not about a size,,,,, but how does make you feel. When you make a bite, closed your eyes, let it melt in your mouth…. you are smiling and think … “This is Heaven’s taste like”…. Though Tomatoes i see a God’s miracle, when from tiny seed growing so beautiful plant. May be, when in the Bible said about “an apple”, it was about Tomato??? because Tomato is italian apple.
Love and attention are the best fertilizer for tomatoes to grow.
Those are long gone but I am working on growing 3 plants to get a 2 pound plus tomato this year. If I grow 2, Ill send one out.

Nice tomatoes. I really like growing Brandywine Tomatoes. The Yellow Brandywines grow very large also. I get quite a few over 2 pounds every year. Talk at you later.

Correct. The principle is the same. I just didn’t get any. You hope for the best. Record size too is bigger than what the tomato produces normally. But for Fair records etc you would want to push over 2 pounds.
1 and 2 pound tomatoes are not record size. My father did this all the time and every year. He grew 3 pound tomatoes as well but they were not common. They were however each each year.
