Question by HoneyLuv: how much food should I buy?
I am making shish kabobs with my middle school kids for cooking class.
I have to buy chicken, mushrooms, onions, bell peppers, and cherry tomatoes for about 35 student, but I don’t know how much to buy of each.
How many pounds of chicken should I buy? What about the other items? Any ideas?
Also, does anyone know a great seasoning or sauce for shish kabobs? =)

Plan on buying about a pound of food per person. This includes side dishes. If you are just supplying the kabobs, make 1 or 2 per person, but take into account how much other food there will be. Plan on 3 or 4 pieces of chicken per kabob (4 oz of meat), 2 cherry tomatoes, 2 pieces of onion and 2 pieces of bell pepper. I would suggest a dry rub for the kabobs. Just google a recipe.

good day,
making chicken kebabs.
You will need about 1/4 lb of chicken per-person.
1 onion quartered will give 4 serving
same w/ bellpepper and 1 cherry tom per stick.
35 people
9 lb chicken of breast
9 onions
9 bell peppers
2 box’s of cherry tomatoes
What about pick’n up 3 cans of Chuck pineapple
Use the pineapple also on kebabs
Use the juice, pepper, lemon. teriyaki and garlic.olive oil
(to taste)
Mix and pour out about a 1/2 ( to use on kebabs will grilling)
Add chicken to remaining and marinated about 1-2 hour
If you are use wooden sticks, you have got to soak in water.
(@15-20 min)(prevents burning)
remove chicken and slice breast 1/4″ strips( u can slice easier if chicken breast are slightly frozen and them marinate)
Enjoy….
