Question by Lydia: Why have my tomato plants have stopped growing?
I bought a hanging tomato basket and planted seeds in the top then put the ones under neath when they were grown a little. The ones on top popped up almost immediately and grew about 2 1/2 inches but they’ve been like that for 2 months now. neither the top plants nor the bottom plants have made any change. What am I doing wrong?

  1. MAYBE A HUGE WAVE OF ZOMBIES HAS APPROACHED YOUR BACKYARD.

    YOU NEED MORE SUNLIGHT.
    Keep them away from zombies.

  2. What I have noticed when growing tomato plants that you need to water it every two or three days and leave it to get alot of sun. Also get one of those topsy turneys they work great

  3. Too many plants in the pot. Tomatoes need to be spaced out. They need a lot of room to grow.

  4. If they were those “upsy dowsy” brand tomatoes from a certain nationwide mega retailer, the cherry tomatoes up top should give fruit but the beefsteak ones on the bottom I have had no luck at all and I have a greenhouse and I also work in one. Try to let them dry out completely between watering.

  5. What you did wrong was buy the hanging type. A gimmick. Everyone I know who purchased one of these hanging tomato jobbies ended up junking them.
