Question by sammyxx: Can Black women wear Red lipstick????
I’m black and i was just wondering if it looks good when black women wear red lipstick and blue eyeliner???
my skin is like brownish its a bit like rihanna i dont know if it would suit me if not what would look good.
I have tried it out on myself at home and i thought i actually looked quite good with it on. I was just waiting to get some confidence to wear it out in public.

Look at Rihanna, she can pull off any make-up/ outfit, and since your skin looks like hers…I would say yes:) you could always try it on, and see what people say then decide if you should keep it up or not.I hoped this helped!
Yes darker skin tone it should have a blue base medium to lighter skin tones can go more orange. as for the eyeliner it depends on the dramatic impact your looking for
I think everything isn’t for everybody but sum ppl can pull certisn things off.everyone is different and i believe confidence can really make a person.dnt cake the make up on and u should b just fine.also b mindful of wha your wearing with it.other then that WORK DIVAAAA

Dont wear the eyeliner tho… not in blue… it doesnt match. wear black eyeliner too.
You know, when you wear a bold lip color, on ANY skin tone, youre supposed to go easy on the eyes.
Since you have a darker complexion, Black eyeliner would be the best choice.
The blue seems too clown-like.
Just go neutral with the eye colors.
notice i said NEUTRAL and not NATURAL. Meaning, the eye colors should be subtle and not as harsh as you may normally apply it.
lol maybe you should try it on 1st. & iguess it will look nice since you aren’t that dark. i wouldn’t use a really light blue liner ( i have teal & it’s really dark unless you mix it with white liner) i’m also close to rihannas skin tone. maybe lighter
If you like it then work it! Don’t worry about what other people will think. Not too many people can rock the blue eyeliner with red lipstick. I’m guessing your going for a fun/playful look. Since you Rihanna’s complexion I think it will look just fine.
Of course you can wear red lipstick.The right shade of red is flattering on anyone. The key to finding a flattering red lipstick is to find one with the right undertone.You have a warm undertone so look for a yellow based red (tomato red).
Since you have warm undertones a burgundy/brown based lipstick like Maybelline Moisture Extreme lipstick in Burgundy will be great for you.A personal favorite of mine is MAC’s red lipstick in Big Apple Red.
I wouldn’t pair together the red lipstick with blue eyeliner because it will start to look more cartoonish rather than elegant.Instead pair will a neutral eye. You don’t want anything dramatic. A subtle smokey brown eye is as dramatic as you want to get with your red lipstick.

Of course you can! Anyone can pull of a red lip. All you need to do is find the right shade of red for you. Somebody at an ulta or make up counter can help you! For the blue eyeliner, yes you can wear that as well of you learn to wear it right!
