Question by : my tomato plant has not yielded any tomatoes yet. How long till I see any small tomatoes?
I planted my tomato plant about 2 months ago. I have already seen numerous yellow flowers bloom on it and i was told this will eventually produce nice ripe tomatoes. The first ones started to show on the plant about a month ago, When can i expect to see some tomatoes? This is my first garden so just curious.

If your plant has flowered, it will probably produce fruit 1-2 months after flowering, depending on which variety of tomatoes you planted (some varieties only take about 60 days to make fruit, and others can take 90 days or more). Conditions in your garden (i.e. the weather and your garden soil) can also make a huge difference in how long your plant takes to fruit.

  1. you may have planted a bit early usually the flowers are replaced by fruit at the same location if it did not fruit you may have to wait till it flowers again

  2. 2 months ago ! that’s early March, that’s much too early unless you live in tropical climes. I would say that your blossoms have not pollinated due to lack of insects. When the flowers have set (pollinated) a tiny green tomato will be visible. That is the time to feed the plants. From this point it will take 6 to 8 weeks before you can commence harvesting.
