Question by josephine: Should I bring my veggie starter plants indoors? (brand new to gardening)?
I have a tomato, cherry tomato, red bell pep starter plants outdoors in 5 gallon paint buckets. I planted them about a week ago and they have been happy since. I live in tx and we had a big rain last night and the weather says the temperature is going to steadily drop to about 44 degrees at night and low 70s/day by Sunday. Should I bring them inside? Or will they be okay for a few days? It would be easier to do this than making them a shelter outdoors. Thanks!

I lived there for many years and by this time I always had my garden in the ground. peppers are more tender than tomato’s, but 44 degrees would not bother me.

They are fine to stay outside without any type of shelter. You only need to bring them inside if you are going to have frost.
