So I bought some sun dried tomatoes online (our grocery store has local online delivery available) – I thought these would be perfect to plop on a sandwich etc….but it turns out that they came not stored in oil and are hard/leathery – what should I do to get them in good shape for putting on a sandwich?

Put them in a little water. When softened, drain.
