Question by Kage: recipies/foods that can be eaten and not hurt teeth?
My boyfriend of 6 years had really bad teeth. he is about to have them all pulled and have false ones put in. but for now his teeth are highly sensitive and they break and crumble very easily. he needs foods that are softish and easy to consume, with not a lot of chewing needed. he can chew things, but he wants as little chewing as possible. I cant keep feeding him cheesy mashed potatoes, and pizza rolls. lol no chips, no hard taco shells, no crunchy things nothing too sticky. he broke a tooth on a milky way candy bar two days ago. my father just had his teeth replaced with fake ones but he isnt any help he only eats fish. :)

His tastes: he loves potatoes and soups, especially tomato soup. He does not like any green veggies, he loves corn and he eats meat. He likes most everything really. (he takes vitamins to make up for not eating ay veggies.) he eats so much usually, he loves burgers and tacos and pesto, lasagna, and a lot more. he is only picky when it comes to veggies.

any recipes, tips if you were in the same situation, or think of foods that he can easily consume.

  1. Aw poor guy. I know how he feels. I have horrible teeth and it’s hereditary! I had mine fixed before they got that point though. His teeth sound the exact same as my sisters though and I know it’s tough for her to eat.

Make him Chicken Tortilla Soup. It’s a tomato based soup and it’s delicious! You shred the chicken in small pieces for him.

    1-2 Chipotle peppers, chopped
    4 cloves of garlic
1 Tbl each dry oregano and Cumin
2 14 oz cans diced tomatoes
    1 quart of chicken broth
a splash of lime juice (Optional)
    Taste for seasoning

Saute the pepper and garlic for 1 min. Add the spices and let them toast for a minute or sol. Add the tomatoes and the chicken broth. Stir and simmer for 5 minutes. If you want you can blend it until it’s smooth (I do until there are smaller chunks)

Crush tortilla chips in bottom of a bowl, top with some shredded chicken (You can roast a few chicken breast or buy a rotisserie chicken from the grocery store) shredded cheese, then top with the soup sour cream avocado anything you want.

The chips will get soft so he can eat them and probably something he has been craving for awhile.
