Question by NR: What to eat when you are on diet salad or canned cannelloni beans?
Hello there,
I want to know what is better to eat if you are on diet salad (lettuce, corn, onion, cucumber and tomato – no dressing) or canned cannelloni beans salad (tomato sauce and onion).

Thank you

I would go with the beans. Why not both? Lettuce usually has only about 5 cals per 1 cup serving. However, lettuce does not provide any nutritional value. If you go with spiniach you will get some iron. However the other ingredients in your salad are very low in calories and nutritonal value. I think with the tomotaoe and onion you will get your vitamin c. But thats about it. You actually have to eat A LOT to get what you need on a daily basis. However, if your looking for something to make you feel fuller, I would go with the beans, because they have protein. Protein sticks in your stomach longer and makes you feel fuller.

  1. Definitely the salad! Make it as huge as you want while only using raw veggies and nothing else. Get some extra virgin olive oil and squeeze lemon for your dressing. You need essential fatty acids and olive oil is great for that. Anything that comes in a can is dead! – Void of any real nutrition! Make sure you are eating tons of fruits all throughout the day – fruit is very energizing, alkalizing and has astringent properties. Concentrate on healthy eating instead of a “diet” – the weight naturally comes off when the body becomes balanced and healthy. A healthy diet for humans is 80% (of total daily calories) fruit; 10-15% greens; and 5-10% good fats (essential fatty acids). After all, we are frugivores – our bodies are designed to eat this way.
