  1. chilliiii pepperrr + salt + pepper

  2. a splash of zinfandel

  3. value add. mushrooms , peppers, sausage, garlic, plus what you mentioned , all to your taste
could add some wine or cognac

  4. Saute diced onion and minced garlic in olive oil, it you have them. Then, add the sauce and I would add dried oregano and basil. The greek seasoning would be closest to those seasonings. Also add salt & pepper to taste. If you like spice, add a little chile powder though I prefer Hot Pepper Flakes, the kind you put on pizza.

  5. No herbs other than the garlic?? No onions?

Mince an onion, dice a couple slices of bacon and fry to crisp then add the onion to cook a little. when onion is clearish, stir in some chile, garlic salt, and the tomato sauce. You might want to add a tablespoon of sugar also, either white or brown to aleviate the acidic flavor of the tomato. Set aside.

brown some meat, or open a couple cans of tuna, cook some pasta of some sort, drain pasta and add some butter or margarine to it. toss in the meat, pour the sauce over it and if you have some, a can of any kind of green veggies. Serve warm or cold.

  6. 1. While you are heating the pasta on the stove, add some red wine, and let that cook down. Thats what I always do.

    2. Sautee some onions, peppers, garlic and add to the sauce. This will give it texture and a little more flavor.

    3. If you have time, just go to the store and buy Itallian seasoning and sprinkle that in there.

    4. If you dont have time, try any or all of the following spices; basil, cilantro, oregano, garlic, parsley, rosemary, roasted red peppers, sun dried tomato.

    5. You could also add some italian sausage to the sauce.

  7. from your cub board, adda a small dash of chili pepper. not too much. crush up 3 of your garlic cloves and saute them a bit in whatever oill you have. add just a very small pinch of greek seasoning..don’t do anymore added salt..put in just a pinch of sugar.. slow simmer for perhaps 5 minutes..too, thick?? don’t do cornstarch, a bit of water will do..

  8. If you have cooking oil or olive oil, mince a few fresh garlic cloves and lightly saute them. Don’t let them brown. Add to the sauce. If you do not want to saute fresh garlic, then add a bit of garlic salt.

Also add chili pepper if you like it spicy, and pepper.

Onions are very nice in sauce. If you have some, chop them and saute in oil until tender and fragrant. If you do onions and garlic together, wait until the onions are almost done before adding the garlic.

Greek seasoning has many herbs in common with Italian seasoning, except it has mint. That might taste odd in your sauce but it’s better than nothing. Go for it and put in a good pinch.

  9. HMjon, I find it quite annoying when you have two answers that are correct and they are given a thumbs down. Pennybar is basically the same as I do it, and as for Nana Lamb, I only add 1/2 a teaspoon of sugar for acidity, other than that, two very good interpretations.
