  1. firn and big they are great!I would wait for them to grow a little more

  2. they need to be hard, but not necessarlly small.

  3. soft (juicier), so when you fry them they will not become too dry.

  4. they should be hard but with the small ones you can make pickled green tomatoes with them they are great with beans and other stuff

  5. frying green tomatoes is a very tasty solution to all your green tomatoes. Green tomatoes are routinely firmer than their red counterpart – which is why one cooks them, rather than attempting to eat them raw. Still, they cannot be hard like marbles. They should be only slightly firmer than a red tomato – then they will be perfect for frying.

  6. hard is good for frying i think! but mayb u shld let them get bigger…

  7. I like hard firm green tomatoes that are trying to turn red. The tomatoe should be just tinged with a little red to make for a tastier fried tomatoe. Jucy too! the tomatoe should be large but if small are all you have fry em up. I dreg them in a beaten egg then in a mixture of flour and cornmeal. salt and pepper to taste . Fry them up til crispy and golden brown. YUM Yum!
