Question by dx_baby_2007: I got pasta, ground beef and canned tomato paste what can I do.?
I don’t have sauce to make spaghetti and no money to go buy some so what can I do. Is there an east way to make tomato sauce out of tomato paste and some herbs, I got powdered garlic, will that help? I got a hungry 5 year old and no ideas lol.

  1. wow fyl

  2. Cook the beef with the herbs and garlic, and onion, if you got any. Cook the pasta. As for the paste- add some water to it, incorporating it to the beef mixture.

  3. ok what u need to do is boil the pasta
season the beef (salt and pepper)
after this u need to saute the ground beef in little or no oil onions and garlic add good flavor then when the beef is thoroughly cooked add a little tomato paste then stir
    strain spaghetti and eat!!
might sound weird but it tastes great

  4. Cook the pasta. Season beef with garlic powder and pepper. Fry it as you would if you were making tacos, but without taco seasoning.

While that’s cooking, put 1 1/2 cups of milk in a medium saucepan. Use more or less milk, depending on taste. Open a 16 ounce can of tomato paste and add it to the milk. Select the spices you would like to use and add ¼ to ½ teaspoon of each. The spices you eventually use depend on your own tastes, but try ground black pepper, garlic, celery seed, or parsley. Or, if you don’t like any spices at all you can just add a dash of salt. Heat the soup gently over a low flame, stirring it as it heats. Make sure the tomato paste breaks up and becomes incorporated into the milk.

When that’s finished, mix beef with the pasta, add some parmesan cheese, and there you go! Pasta and tomato soup!

  5. Chop up an onion, sautee in some olive oil, season with salt and pepper (a little crushed red pepper is great, not too much or your 5 year old won’t eat it, but just a tiny pinch, you’ll be amazed by how much flavor it adds without addidng heat). Brown the ground beef well in the sauteed onions, when nearly done, add the undiluted tomato paste, and cook the tomato paste for 2 or 3 minutes (NEVER add it at the last minute: nearly raw tomato paste=horrible bitter food!). Add a few tablespoonfulls of flour, and stir another 2 minutes until the flour is cooked, then add some broth (OK to use bouillion cubes dissolved in hot water if you don’t have canned broth) a little at a time, stirring until you get the consistency of sauce that you like. Then serve over cooked spaghetti. Top with parmesan cheese if you have some.

  6. Surprise Pasta!

    Ingredients
    1 pound lean ground beef
    salt and pepper to taste
    1/2 onion
    1 green bell pepper
1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
    1 tablespoon chopped garlic
    1 tablespoon dried oregano
    20 cherry tomatoes
1 (12 ounce) package linguine pasta
    Directions
1.Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add linguine pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain.
2.In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until almost cooked; about 10 minutes. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
3.Using a food processor, chop the onion finely. Wash it out and then put in the bell pepper. It should turn to liquid. That’s the surprise!
4.Add tomato paste, garlic, onions, oregano, and bell pepper juice to the browned beef. Allow it to settle a little bit, folding it all together. Add the tomatoes and cover; simmer for another 15 minutes. With a fork or spatula crush the tomatoes and blend the juice into the sauce; continue simmering for about 10 more minutes. Serve over cooked pasta.

  7. Use your imagination.

Cook the hamburger, add in all the herbs you have or want to use. Add the tomato paste and then cook the pasta in salted boiling water.

Just do what you want with it :)

  8. Do you have a can of tomato soup? Use that instead of the paste. Add half can or so of water with a little salt and pepper. This will make a simplified goulash for your little one.
