Question by My eyes hurt!: Is there a difference?
I am making a recipe that calls for Sun Dried Tomato Dressing. The only one that I have seen at the store is a Creamy one. Would that be it? I didn’t know if there are other types of sun dried dressing that i didn’t know about. Thanks.
Here is the recipe:
4 salmon fillets (1 lb.) 2 cups chopped fresh spinach leaves 1 cup sliced mushrooms 1 tomato, chopped 1/3 cup KRAFT Sun-Dried Tomato Dressing Make It
HEAT oven to 375°F. Place fish fillets, skin sides down, in 13×9-inch baking dish sprayed with cooking spray.
MIX remaining ingredients until blended; spoon over fish.
BAKE 20 to 25 min. or until fish flakes easily with fork.

That’s the one. The whipping cream, buttermilk, or mayo (depending on the recipe) is what gives it the creamy consistency.

Well, There is a creamy one and a vinagrette. It might be called “sun dried tomatoe with feta” . You can use either one, it just depends on which one you prefer.
The one u r seeing in the store is just one kind of dressing, the recipe may or may not call for that one, i would have to see it before I knew. The creamy dressings have mayo in it and alot of recipes call for the oil base instead because of it. What are u trying to make? What is it for? U need more info.
Hi! There are two kinds that I know of: the vinagrette and the creamy. I suggest the vinagrette, because it’s the most common. If you cannot find it in the store, here is a recipe from Canadian Living:

Otherwise, if you do not want to make it and you can’t find it, just go with the creamy. Who knows? It might even taste good!
It’s probobaly just a viniagirette w/ bits of sun-dried tomatoes in it.
My guess is that it’s a recipe from the makers of that particular salad dressing. Just use caesar, a homemade vinaigrette, or a mix from a packet. Whatever you have will be fine, I’m sure.
