Yeah, I saw teens dressed up as vampires at DQ. I asked them if they were going to a costume party and they were offended and said they vampires. They looked goth and I mentioned it and that pissed them off even more. They were drinking something red (tomato juice?) and I had to laugh. When I told my friend this, he made me watch the South Park episode. That is too funny. Shouldn’t teenagers being doing regular stuff like getting high and trying to get some? What happened to them?

i made this for my Christmas dinner and bbq jack fruit and i plan on eating and enjoying my meat free meal while everyone gets the itis (getting sleepy after you eat) and i have loads of energy
I just tried this recipe and it was awesome! It is quite a hearty loaf and is really a comfort food. The sweet potato went really well with the lentils. In response to one of the other posts, I used ground chia instead of flax and it turned out well.

what kind of pot are you using?
I’d think chia seeds are a good substitute to flaxseeds..that’s what I use when I don’t have flaxs on hand
I would be interested in using parsnips instead of sweet potato.

Looks good! I’ll have to try this. I always get the sweet potato and yams mixed up. To me the sweet potato is the yellow one and the yam is the orange coloured one. Can you shed some light on this and end the mystery once and for all? lol Cheers!

Here in Bulgaria the tradition is on Christmas Eve to eat entirely vegan dishes. It is the last day of the monthlong fast. There are only a few traditional recipies we usually make, but I’m absolutely sick of them. It’s nice to have some new ideas for this Christmas. Thank you fr the great ideas, Heather!
I feel like so many vegan dishes carry asian/middle eastern flavors regardless of the dish sometimess. While I understand that vegan ingredients lend themselves to these flavors and cuisines sort of better (especially because many asian cultures have vegan dishes), I feel like there’s got to be a way around it sometimes. I love those flavors, but I get sick of them sometimes … have any dishes that you think avoid incorporating asian/middle eastern flavors? Thanks!
I love this channel, my girlfriend is a vegetarian and this channel helps us cook a variety of tasty dishes for her so she doesn’t just get bored with plain ol’ salad and fruits and whatnot. Do you have any recipes that include tofu?

Kids these days aren’t encouraged as much to have their own imaginations and be creative. Instead they sit indoors and watch movies and read books and get their major influences from what’s big on the internet.
They feel that the only way to be cool and fit in is to do what all the other kids are doing… a situation that has been around for quite a long time.
