Question by arsenalmaster4: is it healthy to eat a green tomato?
yeah, during a storm, one of the tomatos from my mom’s garden fell. However, the tomato that fell was green. so we don’t know if we should eat or not.

  5. fried green tomatoes are great, just dip in corn meal, salt and pepper and fry. We in the south eat them all the time.

  6. Fried green tomatoes really aren’t bad! Slice the tomato and dip slices in a mixture of fine bread crumbs seasoned. If you are lacto-ovo, you can dip them in an egg-wash first and add parmesan cheese to the bread crumbs. Fry the slices on both sides.

    They are still a source of vitamin C and anti-oxidants.

  10. Don’t eat it raw, slice it up and bread it. You can fry them just like you do eggplant.

  11. Ever hear of fried green tomatoes? Those are tomatoes that just aren’t ripe yet. I once made my own, and they were pretty good. You can also just let it sit out on the kitchen counter, and it will ripen in a week or so.

  12. Fried Green tomatoes are great if you just have one or two but if you have loads you can make green tomato chutney. It is really good with cheese or in sandwiches – and fabulous with curries
