Question by treblecats: I want to know what to do about our ailing tomato plant?
We’re growing tomato plants in really big, clay pots as we have for the last 3 years. This year, one of them grew really fast but is now drooping badly and looking like it needs water although the soil in the pot is plenty wet. What else could be wrong?

It could be that the pot is not draining correctly, and there is too much moisture at the roots. Too much water can cause them to rot.

What’s the tomato at 2:30?
Or it could have one of the wilt diseases. See:

Its sounds like a vascular problem. Kind of like sclerosis where uptake is inhibited as the plant grows. This is common in the nightshade family. They typically live for two years. This is why potatoes are tubers. so they can regrow quickly.
the roots could be drowning.
add more dirt and cutback on the watering.
How hot is the pot? Too much heat could be cooking the roots.
