Question by Sonni: Can I my guinea pigs a cherry tomatoe a day?
My friend gave me a container of cherry tomatoes. They are going to go bad in a couple of weeks. Can I give him one a day for the next 10 days? I just don’t want them to go to waste. Also this is the first time he’s shown interest in something other tht romaine lettuce he’s finically eating them now to. Please answer!

Yes, but keep in mind they have sugar in them so make sure you balance that. For example, leave out baby carrots (if you give them) and give more leafy greens in the rest of his daily 1 cup of veggies. Pigs, like other herbivores, have a better sense of taste than us. They appreciate variety in the veggie portion of their diet but are also picky eaters. Variety is also a good way to get a good range of different necessary nutrients in their diet.

This timelapse video was shot over the course of just 36 weeks.
how long was this?
One a day is no problem but stick to that. Tomatoes are really fruits botanically as are bell peppers but neither are nearly as sugary as fruits you have for deserts and are a good diet choice in moderation
