Question by itiswritten14: What can I do with pasta that’s vegan?
I have some whole wheat pasta that I want to eat (I’m pretty hungry right now xD) and I’m not sure what to do with it. I’ve been told that my brand of margarine is not vegan and neither is my favorite pasta sauce. I don’t really want to eat it plain. Anyone know any simple things I can do with it to make it tasty? I have some basic ingredients and if I need to I can get some new ones.

that looks amazing fanny! a perfect quick meal. can’t wait to try it!!
Make your own sauce with canned tomatoes, garlic , onion etc.
Use Earth Balance for Margarine, and almost any pasta sauce is vegan, at least all the ones I’ve tried are. Newman’s own and Amy’s are good pasta sauces. i like basil and herb
Mix it with vegetables and make a sauce with a tin of tomatoes, herbs, garlic and mustard and sprinkle vegan cheese over the top.

Spicy garlic pasta: saute garlic in some olive oil, take some of the hot (MUST BE HOT!) pasta water and put in the pan to create a sauce, add some hot pepper flakes and serve over the pasta.
Artichoke, olive, and tomato pasta: Saute some onion and garlic in a large pan. Once browned add a 16oz can of diced tomatoes, a drained jar of artichoke hearts (preferably in marinade), and some sliced black olives. Heat through and then serve over pasta. If you want it a little more substantial, add some white beans (drained and rinsed).
Pesto pasta: Using a food processor, chop up 2 cloves garlic, 1/3c pine nuts and a pinch of salt. Once grainy, add 2cs basil. While the processor is running, drizzle in 1/4c olive oil (EVOO). Mix with some of the pasta water to create a sauce. Pour over pasta. I also like to saute some veggies like zucchini and tomatoes and add it to the pasta as well.
