Question by c007artemis: Lost Campell’s Tomato Soup Meatlof Recipe?
I have lost my only copy of a meatloaf recipe from Campbell’s soup. I believe it was called Souper Saucy Meatloaf. It used a 1/2 can of tomato soup, worscheshire (spelling?) sauce, onions, bread crumbs, and eggs, but I think I am forgetting a few things and cannot recall the amounts to use. The rest of the soup and some more worscheshire sauce were used as a sauce to be used at serving time. I have searched and cannot find in online anywhere.

Go to Campbell’s.com…they may have it… I just Googled it, they have it for you….google Cambells tomato meatloaf

If you never find it, use the one on the back of lipton’s Beefy Onion Soup Mix. This is in a small box and has two packets of dry ingredients. It’s pretty good.
Souper Meat Loaf
From: Campbell’s Kitchen
Prep: 10 minutes
Cook: 1 hour 15 minutes
Serves: 8
Ingredients:
1 can (10 3/4 oz.) Campbell’s® Condensed Cream of Mushroom Soup OR Campbell’s® Condensed 98% Fat Free Cream of Mushroom Soup
2 lb. ground beef
1 pouch Campbell’s® Dry Onion Soup and Recipe Mix
1/2 cup dry bread crumbs
1 egg, beaten
1/4 cup water
Directions:
MIX thoroughly 1/2 cup mushroom soup, beef, onion soup mix, bread crumbs and egg. Shape firmly into 8″x4″ loaf in baking pan.
BAKE at 350°F. for 1 hr. 15 min. or until done.
MIX 2 tbsp. drippings, remaining mushroom soup and water. Heat through. Serve with meat loaf
